How did you get involved with ASUW?
Last year I served as the Vice Chair of the Services & Activities Fee Committee, which allocates $16 million of annual students fees to departments that enrich student life. Through my position I learned more about ASUW, and decided that working as the Finance & Budget Director would be an effective way for me to help improve the Husky Experience.
What does your job entail?
As the Finance & Budget Director, I act as the Chief Financial Officer of the Association. My job is to support the employees of ASUW accomplish their goals within the financial restrictions put in place by our state and University. Additionally, I chair the Special Appropriations Fund, which helps RSOs put on events around campus.
Favorite part of working for the ASUW?
One of the best aspects of working for ASUW is that I get to interact with some of the most amazing people on campus. Within the Association, all the employees are incredibly smart and dedicated to making sure that UW students have the best possible experience. The people truly do make ASUW a fantastic place to work.
What career do you hope to pursue long term?
After I graduate, I plan on working for Deloitte Advisory, where I will be interning this coming summer.
